2. Betray (mengkhianati)

-  I can’t believe she would betrayed me.
   Aku tidak percaya dia mengkhianati saya

-  He betrayed his best friend by revealing his         secrets.
   Dia mengkhianati sahabatnya dengan mem -
   bocorkan rahasianya.

- It feels terrible when someone you love      
   betrays you
   Rasanya tidak enak ketika seseorang yang kau
   cintai mengkhianatimu.

She feels like she has been betrayed by the
   people she trusted.
   Dia merasa telah dikhianati oleh orang-orang
    yang dia percaya.

3. Leave (meninggalkan) 

-  She decided to leave the party early because 
    she wasn’t feeling well.
    Dia memutuskan untuk meninggalkan pesta          lebih awal karena dia merasa tidak enak badan

-  I never thought you would leave me like this.
    Aku tidak pernah menyangka kau akan mening-

4.  hurt (menyakiti) 

-  you don’t know how much it hurts when you
   Ignore me
   kamu tidak tahu betapa sakitnya ketika kamu
   Abaikan aku

-  I never meant to hurt you; I’m so sorry.
   Saya tidak pernah bermaksud menyakitimu,
   maap kan saya. 

- It hurts when the person you love doesn’t feel
   the same way.
   Sakit rasanya ketika orang yang kamu cintai
    tidak merasakan hal yang sama.

-  She was deeply hurt by his words, but she           forgave him eventually.
   Dia sangat terluka oleh kata-katanya, tetapi 
   dia akhirnya memaapkannya 

5. Lie (menipu) 

- I can’t believe you would lie to me.
  Saya tidak percaya kau akan berbohong padaku.

He lied about where he was last night, and 
   I don’t know if I can trust him anymore.
   Dia berbohong tentang di mana dia berada tadi
   malam, dan aku tidak tahu apakah aku bisa
    mempercayainya lagi.

-  She felt betrayed when she found out he had       been lying to her the entire time. 
   Dia merasa dikhianati ketika dia tahu dia
    telah berbohong padanya selama ini.

It hurts to know that someone you love can lie
  to  your face.
   Sungguh menyakitkan mengetahui bahwa
   seseorang yang kau cintai dapat berbohong
    di hadapanmu.

6.Cheat (berkhianat/membohongi) 

- I can’t believe you would cheat on me after
   everything we’ve been through.
   Aku tidak percaya kau selingkuh setelah semua
   yang telah kita lalui.

-  He cheated on her with someone else, and 
    now she’s heartbroken.

If you ever cheat on me, I won’t be able to
   forgive you.

-  She found out that he had been cheating for
   months, and it destroyed their relationship.
   Dia mengetahui bahwa dia telah berselingkuh   
   selama berbulan-bulan, dan hal itu
    menghancurkan hubungan mereka.

7. playing with love (mempermainkan cinta) 

-  I can't believe you’re playing with my love like 
   this. 
   Aku tidak percaya kau mempermainkan cintaku
   seperti ini.

-  She felt like he was just playing with her
    feelings and never took their relationship
    seriously.
   Dia merasa seperti dia hanya mempermainkan      perasaannya dan tidak pernah menganggap 
    serius hubungan mereka.

-  Don't play with love, it's not a game.
   Jangan mempermainkan cinta, itu bukan
    permainan.

- He promised he wouldn’t play with her heart, 
   but his actions said otherwise.
   Dia berjanji tidak akan mempermainkan hatinya     tetapi tindakannya mengatakan sebaliknya.

8.  flirt (main mata) 

-  I saw you flirting with him last night. What’s
    going on?
   Aku melihatmu menggodanya tadi malam. 
   Apa yang terjadi?

-  She doesn’t like it when he flirts with other
   girls in front of her.
   Dia tidak suka saat dia menggoda gadis lain di
   depannya.

-  He’s always flirting with everyone, but she’s         the only one he really cares about.
   Dia selalu menggoda semua orang, tapi hanya
   dia yang benar-benar dia pedulikan.

-  Stop flirting with me if you're not serious
    about this relationship.
   Berhenti menggodaku jika kamu tidak serius
   dengan hubungan ini.

9. lady killer

-  He’s such a lady killer; all the girls at the
    party 
   are always swooning over him.
    Dia benar-benar pembunuh wanita; semua
    gadis di pesta itu selalu terpesona padanya. 

- I can’t trust him, he’s a real lady killer and
   has a reputation for breaking hearts.
   Aku tidak bisa mempercayainya, dia pembunuh
   wanita sejati dan terkenal suka menghancurkan
    hati. 

-  Everyone knows him as the lady killer, but he’s
   always been respectful to me.
   Semua orang mengenalnya sebagai pembunuh      wanita, tetapi dia selalu menghormatiku. -

- She warned her friends not to fall for him
   because he’s a known lady killer.
   Dia memperingatkan teman-temannya agar
   tidak jatuh cinta padanya karena dia dikenal
    sebagai pembunuh wanita.

10.Faithful  (setia)

-  I promised to always be faithful to her, no
    matter what.
   Aku berjanji untuk selalu setia padanya, apa
    pun yang terjadi.

- She knows that he’s a faithful partner and
   trusts him completely.
    Dia tahu bahwa dia adalah pasangan yang    
    setia  dan mempercayainya sepenuhnya.

- A faithful relationship requires honesty and
    mutual respect.
    Hubungan yang setia membutuhkan kejujuran
   dan rasa saling menghormati.

- I believe in being faithful because love is built
   on trust.
    Aku percaya pada kesetiaan karena cinta di  
    bangun atas kepercayaan.

11..unconditional love (cinta tanpa syarat

 - She believes in unconditional love, where you
   accept each other’s flaws and imperfections.
   Dia percaya pada cinta tanpa syarat, di mana
    Anda menerima kekurangan dan ketidak
    sempurnaan satu sama lain. 

-  His unconditional love for her never wavered,
   even during their toughest times.
   Cintanya yang tanpa syarat padanya tidak
    pernah goyah, bahkan di saat-saat tersulit
    mereka.

True unconditional love means loving
    someone no matter what happens.
    Cinta sejati tanpa syarat berarti mencintai
    seseorang apa pun yang terjadi.

They share a bond of unconditional love that 
    has only grown stronger over the years.
   Mereka berbagi ikatan cinta tanpa syarat yang
   semakin kuat selama bertahun-tahun.

Cemburu, kenapa? 

Lisa
I saw you talking and laughing with that girl earlier.
Tadi aku lihat kamu ngobrol dan ketawa sama cewek itu.

Bufi
She’s just a friend! There’s nothing between us.
Dia cuma teman! Nggak ada apa-apa di antara kita.

Lisa
I know, but I can’t help how I feel.
Aku tahu, tapi aku nggak bisa ngungkapin perasaanku.

Bufi 
I understand. But you don’t need to worry — you’re the one I care about.
Aku ngerti. Tapi kamu nggak perlu khawatir — kamu yang aku sayangi.

Lisa :
Really? That makes me feel better.
Benarkah? Itu membuatku merasa lebih baik

Budi
Of course. I love you.
Tentu saja. Aku cinta kamu.

Lisa
You mean... You want to get back with me? 
Maksudmu... Kamu mau balikan sama aku?

Budi :
Yeah… it’s true.

Wow. Apa yang membuatmu memutuskan itu?

We talked a lot, and realized we still love each other.
Kita ngobrol banyak, dan sadar kalau kita masih saling cinta.

Begitu ya. Aku hanya berharap kali ini hasilnya lebih baik.

Me too. We’re trying to fix things slowly.
Aku juga. Kami mencoba memperbaiki keadaan secara perlahan.

                        Talking about love


1. Have a crush on someone : saya suka 
     seseorang

I have a crush on a girl in my English class. She’s beautiful, smart, and funny – but I’m too shy to talk to her!

Saya suka sama cewek di kelas bhs ingrisku. Dia cantik, pinter, dan lucu tapi aku terlalu malu untuk bicara dengannya

2. Flirt with someone

Did you see the guy who was flirting with Jenny? He bought her a drink, talked to her all night, and asked for her phone number.

Apakah Anda melihat pria yang menggoda Jenny? Dia membelikannya minuman, mengobrol dengannya sepanjang malam, dan meminta nomor teleponnya.

3. Ask someone out

Peter finally asked me out! We’re going to the theater together on Friday night.


4. Fall in love : Jatuh cinta

 I think I’m falling in love with Melissa. I can’t stop thinking about her!


5. Love at first sight

 I knew Mary would become my wife from the moment I first saw her at the party. It was love at first sight!

Saya tahu Mary akan menjadi istri saya sejak pertama kali melihatnya di pesta. Itu adalah cinta pada pandangan pertama!

Propose

When you propose to someone, you ask the person to marry you. In English, most people propose with the words, “Will you marry me?”

12. Engaged

When a person is “engaged,” it means they have agreed to marry someone.


Example: Did you hear? John and Sarah are engaged! They’re planning a June wedding.


It’s common for women who are engaged to wear an engagement ring:


13. Fiancé / Fiancée :

A man who is engaged is called a fiancé, and a woman is called a fiancée.


Example: My fiancée has already sent out the wedding invitations.


Note: Fiancé and fiancée are always used with a possessive such as “my” “his” and “her.” So we don’t say “She’s a fiancée.” We say “She’s engaged.”



14.Get married

When two people make the commitment to stay together as husband and wife.


Example: We got married in 1972, so we’ve been together for more than 30 years!


15. Honeymoon : bulan.madu

When a recently-married husband and wife travel or take some vacation time to be together.


Example: They went to Costa Rica for their honeymoon.


16. Anniversary : perayaan ulang yahun

The date on which the husband and wife got married. Many couples celebrate this date every year by going out to dinner or exchanging gifts or flowers.


Example: My parents’ wedding anniversary is May 22nd.


17. Ending a relationship

Break up / Split up
These words mean “end a relationship” – it can be a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship or a husband/wife relationship.

Example 1: Jerry and Amanda split up because he wanted to have children and she didn’t.

Example 2: I think I’m going to break up with my boyfriend. We just don’t have



18. Separated
To be “separated” means that a husband and wife are not living together, but are not officially divorced.

Example: I heard that Sandra and her husband are separated at the moment. I hope they can work out their problems.


19. Divorce : bercerai
To “divorce” means that a man and woman formally and legally end their marriage.

Example: “I divorced my husband after he became an alcoholic.”


20 Ex : bekas
Add ex- to describe people you had relationships with in the past: ex-husband, ex-wife, ex-girlfriend, ex-boyfriend.

Example: I’m not friends with my ex-boyfriend because our relationship ended pretty badly.

Note: Some people say only “ex” without saying husband, wife, etc. For example, “My ex won’t stop calling me! I wish she would stop!”
