                                ๐—ฃ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ณ๐—ฎ๐—ฐ๐—ฒ.

This book is a series of six books especially written for students of English in college.

It presents a series of conversation.the everyday language. The living language that may be spoken by people in practical situation in their home, an office as daily communication.

However, by practicing this dialogue as a little plays and by memorizing vocabulary, It is hoped that the students can over come some of his stiffness and formalism with the language.

In addition to the bonus dialogues, many expressions that occur in everyday use have been picked out for special practice.

Finally it is suggested that the teacher return one more time to the dialogue and vocabulary in each lesson so that the students will leave it with the sound of the language in his ear and on his tongue.

C. Reading Practice

                             Greeting.

Selamat pagi or good morning is a greeting in English. We usually say good morning, good afternoon, good evening, and good night depending on the time.

So, greetings is a tradition since a long time ago. Its form is different from one nation to another, or one tribe to another tribe as they have different customs, civilizations, culture, and different religious background.

In Islam, we have specific form to greet. The form is Assalamu’alaikum. It is meant for the prayer for another that Allah may give him health, mercy, salvation, security, peace. So, this greeting is a symbol of brotherhood.

Busy Days
When someone asks you when will you come to visit me? The answer is very easy but for some people it is very hard. They are very busy with their work. They even have no time for their family and their children.
It is like my friend, Mr. Budi. I still remember when I asked him about that question. He said, “I am sorry, I am busy. I have no time. On Monday and Tuesday, I teach English at elementary school. On Wednesday, I have private class. On Thursday, I have a meeting and I have wedding party invitation. And then on Friday, I will go to Bogor.
On Saturday, I have a date. And on Sunday, I have to take a rest.” You know what the answer is? “May be some other time!” he said.
