Student 2: “Yeah, it was pretty bad. Our house flooded and we lost a lot of things.”

Student 1: “Oh no, that’s terrible. I’m so sorry to hear that.”

Student 2: “Thanks. We lost a lot of our books and some of our furniture got ruined.”

Student 1: “That’s really unfortunate. I hope you’re able to recover from this.”

Student 2: “Yeah, we’re trying to. But it’s going to be a long process. We have to wait for the insurance company and try to replace everything.”

Student 1: “That sounds difficult. Is there anything I can do to help?”

Student 2: “Thanks for offering, but I think we’re going to be okay. We’re just trying to take it one day at a time.”

Student 1: “Well, let me know if you need anything. I’m here to help.”

Student 2: “Thanks, I appreciate it. It’s just tough right now. We lost a lot of sentimental things.”

"I didn't see the news yesterday so I don't know what the weather is going to be like."
"Weather in Los Angeles is usually hot in the summer and mild in the winter. It never really gets that cold."
"The weather in Pusan is very similar to Seoul. The main difference is that Seoul gets a little more snow in the winter and a little hotter in the summer. This is primarily because Pusan is right next to the water."
"My favorite season of the year is Spring. It's not too cold and the anticipation of a good summer puts me in a good mood."

Statements about the weather:

"I heard Seattle is a very gloomy city with so many clouds."
